This was a special wedding for me because the bride is a former intern of mine and a great photographer in her own right. They had their wedding at Jenna's families ranch in Acton, Ca. which was a amazing place to have a wedding! Thanks to Daniel Cruz for coming out and helping out on this one. Brian and Caitlin got married at the beautiful Seashore Lodge up in Point Reyes in Olema, Ca. A big thank you goes out to Mirella and her team at An Everlasting Moment Event Coordination that made my job that much easier, always great working with a event coordinator. As we've mentioned (a million times)....Orbie & I LOVE travelling! Last month we got the chance to travel to gorgeous Estes Park in Colorado to photograph the wedding of Mike and Marva.
Reasons why this wedding was AWESOME:
1) Mike and Marva = SUPER fun, outgoing, funny people (our kind of peeps). Holy cow were these guys fun to work with! By association, their bridal party was just as amazing and hilarious. (Side note: Dear groomsmen, thank you for cracking me up all freaking day. I don't ever think I've had a group bust my chops so much...)
2) Mike & Marva got married at the knock-my-socks-off GORGEOUS Della Terra Mountain Chateau. This place is beyond beautiful...(see images below for proof). If you're looking for an out-of-state, totally gorgeous and elegant mountain wedding venue, do yourself a favor and check this place out. You can thank us later (and hire us to photograph of course. Everybody wins!)
3) Mike's grandmother was awesome. It didn't make the blog, but you gotta love a lady who takes it in stride when 2 groomsmen with cigars pick her up for a photo (then proceeds to take one of the cigars and put it in her mouth for the picture...a lady after my own heart)

As we've mentioned, Orbie and I LOVE to travel...so when we found out we were going to be photographing Francy & Matt's wedding in Bass Lake, of course we were super excited! A)We had never been to Bass Lake and we are always excited to go to new places, B) It was Orbie's birthday weekend so we squeezed in some lake fun in time following the wedding), and C) Francy & Matt are such awesome people with super fun personalities that the wedding was no doubt going to be just as awesome and fun to photograph

We all know how I love a good shoe shot..and Francy had herself some sassy shoes (a girl after my own heart). Plus, nothing says dedication like your photographer rolling on her belly on the pier to make this happen (Don't you love how Orbs delegates this part to me?)

Francy and Matt...oh man, what can we say? Thank you SO much for having us and letting us photograph your oh-so-lovely wedding. We had an amazing time spending the weekend with you guys and your family and friends!

I had the pleasure of photographing Mirabai and Taharba's Wedding in Somes Bar, Ca. Somes Bar is a small town in the mountains on the border of Humboldt and Siskiyou County with a population around 250 people and a small general store. The Ceremony and Reception was at the homestead of Mirabai's Parents where she grew up as a kid. The ceremony was held in their garden that was absolute amazing! What a dream place to get married at. Mirabai and Taharba met when they both lived in Hawaii and the rest is history. Here are some of the images that I captured through out the special day.

A few weeks ago I got to travel to Trinidad Ca. for a Destination Wedding with Tony and Christina. Trinidad is a small coastal town located in Northern California. The Wedding took place at The Lost Whale Inn Bed and Breakfast. What a great place to have a Wedding, it is nestled right overlooking the ocean perfect for a beautiful ceremony.
Tony and I go way back, we grew in a Small town called Somes Bar. So it was extra special to photograph this wedding because a lot of the guests were close friends of mine and people I have not seen for years.
Tony and Christina are the nicest people you will ever meet and they made me feel like I was part of the family. They even went out of there way and sent me home with a gift bag, how cool is that! Here are some of the photographs I captured through out the day.
Also a notice to potential brides reading this I LIKE TO TRAVEL SO HIRE ME FOR YOUR DESTINATION WEDDING. I had to throw in the shameless plug:)
