Michelle & Alan's Engagement photos in San Francisco

First of all I would like to wish everyone a happy fathers day for last Sunday. I got to go play golf with my paps, I played alright considering I hadn't been golfing in awhile.

Anyway last week I got to photograph Michelle and Alan's Engagement session in San Francisco at the Palace of Fine Arts and Baker Beach. It's always fun to go back to places you have photographed before because it gives you a challenge to find new compositions. I always try to challenge myself no matter where I am photographing it keeps it fun and interesting. Michelle and Alan were a super fun couple and fun to photograph and hang out with. I love photographing Engagement sessions because it gives me and my client a way to get to know each other before the wedding, so every one is comfortable on the big day. Anyway here are some of the cool images I captured on that day...

I love the composition in this shot...

(note to photographers: look for things in 3's it really makes the composition more interesting)

Shooting directly into the sun really brings out your subjects and gives a cool effect.

I really like this shot a lot, it reminds me of an editorial shot. You could see this shot in a magazine ad, what great models I have!

Patrick and Stephanie's Engagement in Santa Cruz

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Patrick and Stephanie's Engagement session in Santa Cruz. I will be photographing their wedding later this month here in Santa Cruz so stay tuned. We first started out the shoot by walking around downtown Santa Cruz and it was really fun. This was the first time I had photographed in downtown, so we just walked around finding some cool places to shoot. This is my favorite way to photograph because it gets my creative blood flowing looking for possibilities on where to shoot. I also like to photograph in places I have never photographed before because it makes it more of a challenge and I seem to have more fun.

After downtown we headed to the Light house and the dog beach because they brought their dog along to get some photos with him. Check out some of the shots I got....

Michael and Hadley's Wedding at Asilomar Conference Grounds

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Michael and Hadley's Wedding down in Monterey at the Asilomar Conference Grounds. This is turning into one of my favorite places to shoot a wedding. You have everything here from a beautiful beach to tons of beautiful places to shoot. The event ran smoothly with the help of great coordinator Jennifer Roberson from Seas The Day Events. Again I was joined by Sound in Motion for the DJ and Video. I think it was a perfect day for everyone, here are some of the pictures I captured from the day...
