Welcome to my Online Journal! My name is Orbie Pullen and I'm a photographer from Santa Cruz, California. As a photographer I mostly do weddings but I do dip into other aspects of photography. I have created this blog to let people know what’s going on in my life and just to share things that I think are interesting. I also created this blog because I wanted to let my clients see sneak peeks of there photographs before they get them. I usually post pics of a wedding the day after so check back to see those sneak peeks of what I do. I also created this blog to show potential clients a little bit of who I am as a person and some samples of my work. So book mark this site now and e-mail a link of this blog to everyone you know. History Park Wedding with Kisa and Jimmy in San Jose Ca.

A few weeks ago I got to photograph Kisa and Jimmy's Wedding at History Park in San Jose. This was the first time I had ever shot at History Park and what a unique place, it almost reminded me of a Movie set. Everything went great and the weather was perfect. Here are some of the images that I captured through out the day.

Wenona and Nick's Wedding in Santa Cruz, Ca.

A few weeks ago I got to photograph Nick and Wenona's Wedding in Santa Cruz, Ca. The Ceremony was at Peachwoods and the Reception was held at The Coconut Grove by the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. What a wedding this was! It was a Greek wedding with a godfather theme, very cool. Wenona and Nick love movies so they wanted something that reflected what they love. They are both great people and it was a great event. Heidi and Lia from Couture Celebrations were there to help the event run smoothly. I love working with Event coordinators because it makes my job just a little bit easier. Jake and Luke From Dream Media were there doing the video. One of my favorite video teams I like to work with at Weddings. They even had a candy bar which I thought was rad. The band kept the crowd rocking all night long. Anyway here are some images that I captured though the day...

Baker Beach and Palace of Fine Arts Engagement Session with Carola and Craig.

A few weeks ago I got to photograph Craig and Carola's Engagement session in San Francisco, Ca. at the Palace of Fine Arts and Baker Beach. It was a great day in the city with warm sunny skies and no wind. These days are very rare in San Francisco so it worked out perfect! We had such a great time and got some great pictures.

Thanks again Carola and Craig for all the laughs we had that day.

As you all know that Rebecca is the love of my life and I love her with all my heart. She is such a cool chick and for the 4+ years we have been together have been the best and funnest 4+ years of my life. She is always there for support on any ideas I have and I would not be in my business were I am right now with out her. She is the type of person that puts you first before herself and will go out of the way for you to make you happy and put a smile on your face. I have never met anyone like her, I think thats why I'm so attracted to her. She loves traveling, she adventurous and a very passionate person. What more can a man want:)

Santa Cruz Ca. Engagement Session with Katie and Tim.

A few weeks ago I got to photograph Katie and Tim's Engagement session around Santa Cruz, Ca. We first started out at The Forest of Nisene Marks then headed to my new favorite beach Sunset State Beach. Livermore Ca. Engagement Session with Ian and Erin.

A few weeks ago I got photograph Ian and Erin's Engagement Session in Livermore Ca. We started out in Downtown Livermore Ca. then ended up at the beautiful Winery Boaventura. Big thanks to the great folks at Boaventura, if your looking for a beautiful place to get married check them out, I have heard there wine is excellent  Also. Santa Cruz Ca. Engagement Session with Bill and Kim.

A few weeks ago I got to Photograph Kim and Bill's Engagement Session here in Santa Cruz. We first started out in the Redwoods up at Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, then Ended up at Sunset State Beach. Bill and Kim are great people and they are high school sweet hearts. We had a great time and got some awesome shots around Santa Cruz. Check out some of the shots we captured...

Studio Opening Party!!!!

If you haven't heard already I opened a new studio!!! I really haven't talked about it yet because I have been working to get it perfect before I start letting people know about it. I had a party last Thursday to celebrate the opening of the studio and I can say it could have not gone any better than I thought. Lots of friends, Family and other vendors showed up to help celebrate. I hired a cater and a bartender to help me host the party and I can't say THANK YOU enough to my friend Jett who came out on his birthday to serve drinks and help me out. I would also like to Thank my Girl Rebecca for helping me put this together. I never knew how much time and energy it takes to put something like this together.

The biggestest THANKS goes out to Karen Major of Poetry in Motion Catering for delivering the great food and helping me out with everything else. I have been working with Karen for a while now and her food is amazing!! If you need a great Cater call Karen, her food is the best!!!
